Tabisa Lane

Tabisa Lane joined Emerald in January 2023 and serves as Deputy General Counsel.  Tabisa assists in all aspects of Emerald’s legal and corporate affairs, including securities and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and reporting, employee matters, insurance, data privacy and security, and litigation.

Prior to Emerald, Tabisa served as Senior Corporate Counsel at Opendoor Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: OPEN), a real estate technology company, where she primarily supported the business development team in their M&A activity and strategic transactions. She also developed her SEC practice at Opendoor and assisted with Opendoor’s India and Canadian operations.

Before joining the Opendoor team, she spent seven years in the New York office of Hogan Lovells LLP. As a Senior Corporate Associate, she primarily focused on Mergers & Acquisitions and general corporate matters in the pharmaceutical, automotive and consumer goods industries. In her last year at Hogan Lovells, she spent nine months on a full-time secondment to the Coca-Cola Company (NYSE: KO) leading transactions in their M&A and Finance group. During her time at Coke, she led a number of cross border M&A transactions in various jurisdictions around the world.

Tabisa earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from the George Washington University. While in law school, she also spent a semester studying abroad at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary (now located in Vienna, Austria).
