Renan Joel

Renan Joel joined Emerald in December 2024 as Senior Vice President, Connections where he leads the expansion of the company’s Industrial Division. In this role he oversees growth, revenue and profitability strategies for Emerald in serving numerous related sectors including the medical, decorated apparel, fastener, and other industries. Renan assumes a broad range of responsibilities for the division that covers directing sales, marketing, operations, finance, and potential mergers and acquisitions.

With nearly 18 years of experience in business and the events industry in both Europe and South America, Renan came to Emerald from Easyfairs in London, England where he served as a managing director over the company’s packaging division across the UK, France, Italy, and Switzerland. He also served in previous management positions at RELX, Informa Markets and others in São Paulo, Brazil.

Renan holds two master’s degrees from top leading global institutions that include a Master’s in Finance at London Business School and a Master’s in Sales and Marketing in a combined program from Spain’s ESADE Business School and SDA Bocconi in Italy. He also specialized in an executive sales program at Kellogg School of Management and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo in Brazil. Renan is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
