Emerald’s Social Approach

Our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiatives & Resources

Comprised of team members who embody a high level of passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion, this group collectively works towards building upon Emerald’s existing programs, develops new initiatives and maintains best practices to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Diversity-driven talent acquisition
  • Emerald has eliminated the college-degree requirement from a range of positions to expand the application process to include candidates with more diverse background, skills and experiences
  • We believe fostering diverse talent starts with the recruitment and hiring process. As such, our recruitment team participates in learning and development programs that focus on unconscious bias training and interview skills
Community partnerships
  • OneTen is a coalition of leading chief executives and their companies who are coming together to help close the opportunity gap for Black talent in America by providing one million jobs to Black talent in the next ten years. As part of our partnership with OneTen, Emerald is committed to advanced pillars, such as significantly increasing the hiring of Black talent into family-sustaining jobs that do not require four year college degrees
  • The COUTURE Diversity Action Council (DAC): Emerald is one of 15 organizations that formed the DAC, which strives to be a catalyst for addressing the issues of systemic and institutionalized discrimination that has contributed to the lack of diversity within the fine jewelry industry. DAC’s purpose is to contribute to the creation of a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable industry through the implementation of mentoring and other programs and initiatives that promote and support Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) within all facets of the jewelry ecosystem
